Public Education

There are events held throughout the year with the sole purpose of introducing the general public to various aspects of agriculture. Several are listed below. For more events, please see the events calendar.

Broome County Fair

The Broome County Fair is held annually the last full week of July at the Broome County Fairgrounds. The County Fair is an opportunity for 4-H members to show the public the projects they have been working on through the past year. At the 2006 fair, 94 exhibitors participated in the animal science shows. This is an opportunity for the general public to learn about different types of agriculture and interact with youth.
